Roasted Apple and Cinnamon Brioche Loaf

Welcome to the few of you out there who are willing to read my very first blog post. Baking has gotten me through the bad times and enjoyed the good times with me. I have spent the last 4 years working towards a PhD in chemistry and yet all I want to do is bake. I hope that I can share some of my kitchen adventures with you and encourage you to experiment with new flavours and show that baking isn’t an exact science but rather a creative art and in my case at least an emotional outlet.

Some days I wake up and know just what kind of day it will be. Today was without a doubt an apple and cinnamon day. I love the smell of them cooking slowly in the oven, they make the whole house smell delicious. In fact I was so excited that I forgot to eat my breakfast and ignored a perfectly good cup of tea to get the apples into the oven.
